ScreenGator collects no data about you. None. There is no account, no sign-up, and the app makes no network requests of any kind.
That is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly, so the rest of this page explains what that means and why you do not have to take it on faith.
Nothing. We do not receive your score, your app usage, your device identifiers, your location, your contacts, your email address, or anything else. We could not sell your data if we wanted to, because it never reaches us.
ScreenGator keeps a small amount of information on your device only, in storage that belongs to the app:
All of it is deleted when you delete the app. You can also erase it at any time from within ScreenGator: Settings, then Reset.
With your permission, ScreenGator uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to observe how much you use your device. Apple's design keeps this data on your device and out of the app's reach: ScreenGator is told that you have crossed a usage threshold, and is never told which apps you used. It is not technically possible for the app to learn which apps or websites you visit, and no such information is transmitted anywhere.
You can withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings, under Screen Time. ScreenGator will notice and tell you it can no longer see your whole device.
GatorChat runs entirely on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device foundation model. Your questions and your score history are never sent to us, to Apple, or to any other server. Nothing you type into GatorChat leaves your device.
There are none. ScreenGator contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party code of any kind. We do not track you across apps or websites, and there is nothing to opt out of.
ScreenGator is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iOS privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports through App Store Connect. This is a feature of iOS rather than of ScreenGator, it contains no personal information, and you control it in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
If ScreenGator ever begins collecting data, this page will say so before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
